Tavolo 4MILLIMETRI per Boffi. 4MILLIMETRI è un tavolo dall’immagine fortemente grafica, ha la leggerezza visiva di un foglio piegato e la robustezza del materiale con il quale è realizzato, l’acciaio. Ricavato da una sottile lastra da 4 millimetri mediante taglio laser, acquista la tridimensionalità per mezzo di una serie di pieghe che definiscono le gambe, gli appoggi a terra e i rinforzi strutturali. I volumi apparenti percepiti guardando il tavolo dal lato lungo svelano la loro natura sottile nella vista laterale: il lato corto è delineato dal solo spessore del foglio d’acciaio, il lato lungo mostra le superfici piegate che danno struttura al foglio. Nel 2017 il tavolo, prodotto nella versione alleggerita da 3 millimetri, è entrato a far parte del catalogo De Padova. /// 4MILLIMETRI table for Boffi. The 4MILLIMETRI table has a strong graphic image. It seems as light as a folded sheet of paper but is as robust as the steel with which it is built. It is traced on a thick steel sheet (4 millimeters) using lasercut technology, it becomes three-dimensional with folds that define the legs, the feet and the structural reinforcements. The volumes that can be seen from the front reveal a more subtle nature when observed in a more lateral perspective: the short side of the table is solely defined by the width of the steel sheet; the long side shows the folded surfaces that give structure to the sheet. In 2017 the table, nowadays produced with 3 millimeters sheet, has become part of De Padova catalogue.
