Vaso BINOCOLO realizzazione Vittore Tasca. Si inaugura con il vaso BINOCOLO la collaborazione tra Studiocharlie e il ceramista Vittore Tasca, erede della più famosa famiglia di ceramisti di Nove, il cui più noto esponente, Alessio Tasca, ha saputo innovare con grande originalità una delle più antiche tecniche artigianali. In particolare è della fine degli anni ’60 la sua straordinaria decisione di realizzare opere, anche di dimensioni notevoli, con la tecnica dell’estrusione della ceramica attraverso matrici disegnate allo scopo. Vittore Tasca ha saputo dare continuità al lavoro del padre, innovando a sua volta con opere originali, con la scelta di particolari terre e specializzandosi nella tecnica della monocottura. Studiocharlie inizia a sperimentare con la ceramica nel 2012 con il vaso CORALLO, realizzato con la ceramista Adriana Albertini, e con la ceramica estrusa nel 2015 con i vasi GIUNCO grazie alla disponibilità del ceramista Gio Batta. L’incontro con Vittore Tasca, l’esplorazione del suo laboratorio a Nove e di quello del padre in una antica fornace del ‘600, danno vita al nuovo progetto: il vaso BINOCOLO. È un oggetto con una geometria doppia, due cilindri uniti da una parete, senza fondo. È uno studio sul comportamento della materia e delle sue tensioni interne che interagiscono sulla geometria imposta dalla trafila di acciaio e producono trasformazioni, spesso inattese, in ogni fase del processo, dall’estrusione, all’asciugatura, alla cottura. I vasi BINOCOLO sono realizzati con la tipica terra scura utilizzata da Vittore Tasca per le sue opere e in monocottura. /// BINOCOLO vase made with Vittore Tasca. The collaboration between Studiocharlie and the ceramist Vittore Tasca is inaugurated with the BINOCOLO (BINOCULAR in english) vase. Vittore Tasca is the heir of the most famous family of ceramists of Nove, in the north est of Italy, whose best known exponent, Alessio Tasca, was able to innovate one of the most ancient craft techniques with great originality. In particular, his extraordinary decision to create artworks, even of considerable size, with the technique of extrusion of ceramics through matrices designed for the purpose, dates back to the end of the 1960s. Vittore Tasca is able to give continuity to his father’s work, innovating in turn with original works, with the choice of particular clays and specializing in the single-firing technique. Studiocharlie began experimenting with ceramics in 2012 with the CORALLO vase, made with the ceramist Adriana Albertini, and with extruded ceramics in 2015 with the GIUNCO vases thanks to the availability of the ceramist Gio Batta. The meeting with Vittore Tasca, the exploration of his laboratory in Nove and that of his father in an ancient furnace of the ‘600, give life to the new project: the BINOCOLO vase. It is an object with a double geometry, two cylinders joined by a rectangle, without a bottom. It is a study on the behavior of matter and its internal tensions that interact with the geometry imposed by the steel matrix and produce transformations, often unexpected, in every phase of the process, from extrusion, to drying, to firing. The BINOCOLO vases are made with the typical dark clay used by Vittore Tasca for his artworks and with single-firing technique.
