PROPOSTE FAIR 2019. UNA STORIA TESSUTA. Fiera. Installazione per la hall centrale e corporate identity della fiera. Villa Erba, Cernobbio, 15 – 17/04/2019. Ogni azienda ha una propria storia fatta di date e momenti salienti, aneddoti e curiosità legati non solo al passato, ma anche al quotidiano o alle idee per il proprio futuro. Per rappresentare questa ricchezza di esperienze umane e produttive abbiamo chiesto ad ogni azienda di raccontarsi, ad ogni racconto abbiamo chiesto di associare un’immagine che lo rappresentasse. L’intreccio di tutte queste storie genera una storia unica, quella del tessile raccontata attraverso la voce dei suoi protagonisti: l’allestimento per Proposte 2019 è pensato a partire da questi racconti. Ispirate all’idea della “cimosa parlata”, lunghe strisce di tessuto con il titolo dell’allestimento WOVEN STORIES partono dal centro della hall dirette verso l’alto e poi verso il perimetro. Alcune di queste cimose si congiungono alle sagome appese lungo i corridoi, con le immagini e i racconti delle aziende, altre vanno nella direzione dell’ingresso collegandosi con l’intervento in giardino dove le cimose si avvolgono attorno al tronco dei grandi platani. Come metafora della fiera, che è prima di tutto un luogo in cui i produttori e i clienti si danno appuntamento, l’installazione stessa diventa uno spazio vivibile, con un centro in cui i percorsi si incrociano e le storie si incontrano. /// PROPOSTE FAIR 2019. Every company has its own history made of important dates and special moments, as well as of anecdotes and curious stories linked not only to the past but also to everyday life or to ideas for the future. In order to depict this abundance of human and productive experience, we have asked each manufacturer to tell its story and to attach to the story an image that represents it. The interweaving of all of these stories will generate a unique story that will become the story of the textile industry told by its players. The settings of Proposte 2019 are based on these stories. Inspired by the “name selvedge” concept, long strips of fabric with the name of the set-up WOVEN STORIES go from the centre of the hall straight up and then to its outer edges. Some of these selvedges reach the round signboards hanging along the corridors that show the pictures and stories of the companies, while others go towards the entrance and reach the garden where they wrap around the trunks of the great plane trees. Like a metaphor of the Fair, that is first of all a place in which manufacturers and clients can come together, the installation becomes a livable space with a center in which all paths cross and all stories meet.
